Paws for thought

With a business name like CAT, my eye is often drawn to sayings, stories or quotes about my namesake.  Some see them as adorable creatures, others a mere pests, but either way, cats have their very own characters.

So I’ve collected a few of my favourite quotes about cats for you to ponder on and, of course, to consider how it relates to my business here at CAT…

“By associating with the cat one only risks becoming richer.” Colette (French Writer)

“One reason cats are happier than people is that they have no newspapers.” Gwendolyn Brooks

“I’ve met many thinkers and many cats, but the wisdom of cats is infinitely superior.” Hippolyte Taine

“Time spent with cats is never wasted.” Colette (French Writer)

“In the middle of a world that has always been a bit mad, the cat walks with confidence.” Roseanne Anderson

“Cats seem to go on the principle that it never does any harm to ask for what you want.” Joseph Wood Krutch

“Two cats can live as cheaply as one, and their owner has twice as much fun.” Lloyd Alexander

“If animals could speak the dog would be a a blundering outspoken fellow, but the cat would have the rare grace of never saying a word too much.” Mark Twain

“It is with the approach of winter that cats…wear their richest fur and assume an air of sumptuous and delightful opulence.” Pierre Loti

“There are no ordinary cats.” Colette (French Writer)
